WILL YOU?

Well, how could you refuse?

My beginning class painted this subject.  They were a very talented class.  This was my demo.  Everyone got to paint their own words on the note.

PATRIOTIC GARDEN - HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

PATRIOTIC GARDEN

We just returned from Annapolis and I had to paint this for the 4th.  The homes and gardens were all decorated with flags. It was such a patriotic town.  Perhaps it was for the 4th of July but I got the feeling that the flags are always there.

I will post more about the fabulous trip later.

"LAST ONE TO THE BEACH"

I photographed these kids at Wassaw Island on Memorial Day.  Just the perfect subject for the start of summer.  If you want to see the painting demo of how it was created just look at the slide video below.

HOW IT'S PAINTED

TUTEN'S FISH CAMP PAINTING

FROM PHOTO TO FINISH - THE CREATIVE PROCESS

At times I photograph my paintings during the process to share with my students.  I thought it might be fun for my friends to see how I painted a painting too.  So I just learned how to make my first slide show and get it on my blog!  Great fun.  Let me know if you like this.

On Memorial Day we went by motor boat to Isle of Hope.  This Fishing Camp has been there as long as Olin can remember and he grew up on the Island.  It is always a nice surprise to see as you round the corner of the creek.

BID ON "MORNING FOG CHROMA" AT THE SAVANNAH UNCORKED! FUNDRAISER

"MORNING FOG CHROMA" 6" X 6" ORIGINAL OIL ON CANVAS
JUST BEFORE THE TURNER'S CREEK BRIDGE THERE IS THIS MARSH SHOW GOING ON ALL THE TIME.  IT IS MORE DISTRACTING THAN TEXT MESSAGING FOR ME.  I AM MESMERIZED BY ITS' MAGNIFICENT CHROMA AND LIGHT. EACH MORNING WHEN I TAKE MY HUSBAND TO WORK I SEE THIS EVER CHANGING VIEW.  I LOVE IT WHEN THE FOG IS JUST HANGING OVER THE MARSH AND IS PATCHY IN AREAS.

I DONATED THIS PAINTING TO BE AUCTIONED ON JUNE 15TH AT A BENEFIT TO SUPPORT THE LIFE SAVING SERVICES AT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

IN THE MARKET FOR SUNFLOWERS?

IN THE  MARKET FOR SUNFLOWERS?

WHO WOULDN'T LOVE PAINTING THESE HAPPY FLOWERS!

ART IN THE PARK - SUCCESSFUL ENDEAVOR

WHAT FUN!

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about doing an outdoor show.  I have bad memories of selling watercolors in outdoor shows where the weather was treacherous and my art got ruined.  This show changed my faith in exhibiting outdoors.  It was a lovely group of people.  I sold 9 paintings which always makes it worthwhile.  They had an awesome antique car and motorcycle show at the same venue.  Look for me next year in the Landing Art Association Art in the Park show.
