The sea beckons me to paint it all the time. I could paint 1000 paintings of the ocean and never tire of it. Just sitting for hours taking photos of the waves and beach are a luxury I am privileged to live on the coast.

THE ROAST
Oh Shucks! I was inspired to paint figures and chose this group. The photo was from the McIntosh Superbowl Oyster Roast.

OYSTER CONDIMENTS
What a great superbowl oyster roast. Mackie and William McIntosh really did a fabulous job again. These were the best...Bluffton Oysters. They don't better than this - i can taste their salty flavor as i type. First time for me with the french twist Mignonette sauce - it was great. Next in the series will be the Oyster Shooters!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
"HE ROSE TO THE OCCASION"
Of course I had to paint a rose..it's valentine's for gosh sakes. This color just caught my eye. It is one of my accent colors in my home (thanks to Jan). It just pops with turquoise - my favorite color. We painted these in my class on Tuesday but today I got the Red ones from my wonderful hubby of 34 great years.

LONELY PALM
Last week it was so beautiful I took my easel outside and painted on my deck. I had to stay in the lee because it was so windy but the fresh air was awesome. This palm stands on the little island in the middle of the lake we live on. It changes colors hourly and always beckons me to paint it.

TWO CHAIRS AND A PALM
This is my view across the lake I live on, One day my husband called me and said "Trouble on the Lake" - There was only one chair there instead of two. We always have birds and ducks on the lake. It is a hidden treasure.
